On Thursday, DoD published a new policy covering all forms of harassment: DoD Instruction 1020.03, “Harassment Prevention and Response in the Armed Forces.“(PDF)
The policy covers sexual harassment, bullying, hazing, reprisals for sexual assault complaints, and harassment in general. While complaint mechanisms aren’t fully described in the new Instruction, it appears that the Military Equal Opportunity program may take major responsibility for harassment complaints beyond its prior coverage.
